“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." –Lamentations 3:22 NRSV I grew up as a military dependent, moving to new places nearly every three years. When I moved to Utah in 2000, it was the first time I began to feel rooted in a place. God has been leading me on a journey of discovering belonging and recognizing my own belovedness in His eyes, and that has allowed me to see the belovedness and humanity of others. I am passionate about coming alongside people as they journey toward finding hope and healing. I have spent many years doing this, especially in church and parachurch ministry organizations. With that passion and experience, I completed a bachelor’s degree in ministry in 2015, and am nearing graduation from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand Canyon University. I have experience working with a wide variety of issues, including PTSD, sexual abuse/assault, borderline personality disorder, spiritual abuse, depression, anxiety, loss/grief, guilt/shame, suicide, self-harm, codependency, individual growth, women's issues, and relationship difficulties. I work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and children 8 years and older. I have experience working from a variety of methodologies, including existential, mindfulness, embodiment, and internal family systems theory, with a reliance on a person-centered approach. I focus on the inherent dignity and autonomy of my clients, cultivating a sense of safety and empowerment to address challenges. It is my privilege to sit with people in their difficult moments and to hold their stories, to be a witness to the work of healing that takes place in the counseling relationship.
