CYNTHIA TAYLOR
LCSW

Growing up in an alcoholic home, experiencing abandonment and fear, and living with physical and emotional abuse left me with a profound distrust of other people and full of rage. Brokenness characterized who I was as a child, teenager, and young adult. Despite not having a Christian upbringing, God made His presence known to me. Psalm 34:18 ESV The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. God opened up my heart, allowed me to see His light in the world. He is the caring and loving Father I always wanted and needed. He healed my emotional wounds and allowed me to let go of my painful past. Through His love and grace, I was able to forgive myself for my destructive behavior.  God revealed to me his plan and purpose, leading me to a meaningful life as He always willed for me. I am stronger in the places which were once broken.  His gift of grace has brought me a peace which I never could have imagined.

My special interests include medical concerns, aging, and coping with terminal illness, recovery from addictions, anger management, healthy communication, self-worth, stepfamily dynamics, parenting, depression, and anxiety. General practice areas include adults and adolescents in individual and relationship therapy, and LGBTQ affirming therapy.

I have been married to my patient and loving husband for 33+ years. We are blessed with two adult children, their wonderful spouses, and an adorable granddaughter.  We enjoy the outdoors including hiking, camping, snowshoeing.  We also enjoy traveling in the U.S. and throughout the world.
